Find Treatises, Handbooks, or Manuals

Recommended order for VIS Moot team:

  • Review the items on reserve. Tell the circulation personnel that you'd like to be allowed back in the reserve shelving area to view all the books separated for the Moot.
  • Browse all the other titles in the stacks, especially at call numbers K2400 and K3830.
  • Search the FIU catalog.
  • View the "items you can request statewide" from U-Borrow as you search locally.
  • Use Worldcat to find other items you might request from non-Florida-state universities.

Use the FIU catalog to access commentaries on international commercial arbitration. Do a search by keywords, e.g.: international, commercial, arbitration, or as a phrase, “international commercial arbitration”.

The "Search Profile"defines the 'universe' you are searching in.

A book search with a "Search Profile" filter of "Everything" will give you the most results. You can narrow your selection by changing that topmost drop-down filter selection to:

  1. "Library Catalog" to view only results available at FIU,
  2. eBooks,
  3. "Statewide Catalog" to return titles at other State of Florida universities and make a borrow request,
  4. Articles, or
  5. Course Reserves.

Beneath that topmost selection are the Search filter fields. Use those to filter for attributes such as 'title contains' or 'author is exact'. A worthwhile search filter to use for the Arbitration area is the "Subject". Three of many relevant subject headings for this topic are:
